Wow. I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since I signed up for the Create Every Day challenge. by Leah Piken Kolidas.

I started off sort of strong but I must admit I slacked off. Well, the new year is a few days away and we all have a chance to start everything new.

I took on a lot of challenges this year. I signed up for the sketchbook challenge and submitted a few things.

I like taking challenges to keep  my creative juices flowing. Without them I sometimes lose focus. There are artist trading card challenges, such as ATC’s for all and Illustrated ATC’s which are like world wide swap meets.

There are lots of writing prompts and challenges too, but I am concentrating on art for now, although my writing is never too far in the background.

Oh yes. I almost forgot. Artellaland is asking for Mystery Muses. Sort of like artsy Santas. You sign up and get someone’s address. Then you send that person two of your art or writing creations. This sounds like fun and it’s a way to market. Maybe that person will like your work so much that they will actually buy something.

So there we are: all the things that kept me busy this year. Just like everything else, they are all in preparation for the great year 2012: a year of enlightenment and abundance.
