That’s a line from an old song.
I was looking through some boxes the other day when I came across some old photos.so I decided to write about them.
For the next few weeks off and on I will be writing about some of the art projects I did when in my teens and tweens. Here is the first one.
Among the photos I found was my first commissioned piece. It was for a tire company. I think it was a franchise of the Great Western Tire Company™ but I can’t say for sure. I and two other girl artists painted a Conestoga and a tire inside the lobby. No, it wouldn’t win any prizes, but we had fun doing it. We also painted a Native American on a horse beyond that door across from the soda machine. I also remember winning a set of tires in their raffle (although I didn’t drive) and a Super Ball™. I wonder if they still sell those?
I’m going to keep this one short.
More later. Ta.
